A Regulation to extend the provisions of the Punjab Land Preservation Act, 1900, to the Dera Ghazi Khan Excluded Area in the province of [2][the Punjab]

Preamble.— WHEREAS it is expedient to extend the provisions of the Punjab Land Preservation Act, 1900, to the Dera Ghazi Khan Excluded Area for the purposes of the peace and good Government thereof;

      Now, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Presidential Proclamation of the seventh day of October, 1958, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf the Governor of West Pakistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Regulation:-

1.   Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Regulation may be called the Punjab Land Preservation [3][* * * *] (Extension to Dera Ghazi Khan Excluded Area) Regulation, 1959.

      (2)  It extends to the Dera Ghazi Khan Excluded Area declared to be an excluded area in the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions’ notification No. D-2162-F/50, dated the 17th April, 1950.

      (3)  It shall come into force at once.

2.   Extension of the Punjab Act II of 1900 to the Excluded Area The provisions of the Punjab Land Preservation Act, 1900, are hereby extended to the Dera Ghazi Khan Excluded Area.
